Rising Word Terms of Use
These terms cover Rising Word, a daily Bible verse app by Lowbit Labs LLC for Android and iOS. Effective October 10, 2026.
Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Lowbit Labs LLC (“Lowbit Labs”, “we”, “us”). They cover the Rising Word app on Android and iOS (package and bundle ID com.bibleverse.risingword), including Rising Word Pro.
By downloading, opening, or using Rising Word, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use Rising Word with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
Your license to use Rising Word
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Rising Word on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, under these Terms and the rules of the store you got it from.
The app, its design, artwork, themes, code, the Rising Word name and logo, and our own written content belong to Lowbit Labs or our licensors. Apart from the license above, these Terms don’t give you any rights to them.
Acceptable use
Please don’t: copy, sell, rent, or redistribute the app; reverse engineer, decompile, or try to extract its source code, except where the law allows it; bypass or tamper with Pro features, purchase checks, or ads; use the app to break any law or to harm anyone; or remove our copyright or trademark notices.
Rising Word Pro
Rising Word is free to download. Some features, such as the full verse library, extra themes, more reminders, search, history, and writing your own verses, are part of an optional upgrade called Rising Word Pro. The app shows which features are free and which need Pro.
Pro is offered as: Pro Lifetime, a one-time purchase of $14.99 USD that unlocks Pro for as long as the app is offered; or Pro Monthly, a $1.99 USD per month subscription that renews automatically until you cancel. There is no free trial. Prices may vary by country and currency, and the price shown in the store at checkout is the price you pay, including any taxes the store adds.
Billing and auto-renewal
All payments are handled by Google Play on Android or by Apple on iOS, using the payment method on your store account. We never see or store your card details.
Pro Monthly renews automatically every month and your store account is charged within 24 hours before the end of each billing period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Payment is charged to your account when you confirm the purchase.
Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel Pro Monthly anytime in your store settings. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions (Google Play subscriptions). On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions (Apple’s guide).
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and then the app goes back to the free version.
Refunds
Because Google Play and Apple process all purchases, refunds are handled by them under their own refund policies, not by us. To ask for a refund, use Google Play’s refund page or Apple’s Report a Problem page. Except where the law requires otherwise, we can’t issue refunds ourselves.
Price changes
We may change Pro prices in the future. A price change never affects a Lifetime purchase you’ve already made. For Pro Monthly, Google Play or Apple will tell you about a price increase in advance and, where their rules or the law require it, ask you to agree before the new price applies. You can cancel before it takes effect.
Restoring purchases
Pro is tied to the Google Play or Apple account you bought it with, not to a Rising Word account (there isn’t one). If you reinstall the app or move to a new device using the same store account, tap Restore Purchases in the app to unlock Pro again. Purchases made on Google Play can’t be moved to iOS, and Apple purchases can’t be moved to Android.
If you bought Remove Ads
If you bought the earlier Remove Ads purchase in Rising Word, you get Rising Word Pro Lifetime at no extra cost. It unlocks automatically, or when you tap Restore Purchases, on the same store account you used for Remove Ads.
Apple users
If you got Rising Word from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). If the standard EULA and these Terms conflict, the standard EULA controls for the iOS app to the extent required by Apple.
These Terms are between you and Lowbit Labs, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or listed on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Ads on Android
The free version of Rising Word on Android shows ads served by Google AdMob. We request non-personalized ads only. Pro users don’t see ads. We’re not responsible for the content of ads or for third-party sites or products you reach through them. The iOS app has no ads and does no tracking.
Bible text and devotional content
Bible verses in Rising Word come from the King James Version (KJV), which is in the public domain in the United States. Our own wording, verse selections, categories, devotional prompts, and designs belong to Lowbit Labs.
Rising Word is meant for personal encouragement and devotional reading. It is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, financial, or pastoral advice. Verse groupings by feeling or topic are our selections and aren’t meant to be the only or authoritative interpretation of Scripture. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact local emergency services or a crisis line right away.
Your verses and notes
Any verses, notes, or other text you write in Rising Word are yours. They’re stored only on your device. We don’t upload, view, or own them, and we have no server that receives them.
Because they live only on your device, they may be lost if you delete the app, clear its data, or lose or replace your device, and we can’t recover them. You are responsible for what you write and for keeping your own copies of anything important.
Privacy
Rising Word has no accounts and no server, and your settings and content stay on your device. To learn what data the app and its store and ad partners handle, please read our Privacy Policy.
No warranty
We work hard to make Rising Word reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every feature, verse, theme, or reminder will always be available or work on every device.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Lowbit Labs and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, content, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use Rising Word. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Rising Word Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or $15 USD.
Some places don’t allow certain warranty disclaimers or limits on liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
Termination
You can stop using Rising Word anytime by deleting it. Remember to cancel any Pro Monthly subscription in your store settings as well.
If you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, your license to use the app ends. We may also change, suspend, or stop offering Rising Word or any feature. If we discontinue the app, we’ll try to give reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as ownership, no warranty, limitation of liability, and governing law, survive termination.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. For significant changes, we may also let you know in the app. If you keep using Rising Word after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the app will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
